Watch Premier League Birmingham City v Blackburn Rovers 15/12 Free Libe Online Stream

December 14th, 2009

Birmingham are riding on the crest of a form wave at present and boast the best form in the entire league, with Alex McLeish’s men unbeaten in their last seven games, a run that stretches back to the end of October. However, what’s more impressive, outstanding in fact, is that Birmingham have won their last four fixtures and haven’t dropped a single point since early November. Surely, with all this form and momentum behind them, Birmingham will only go from strength to strength starting with a home fixture with a poor travelling Blackburn Rovers.

It’s clear for all to see that the confidence within the Birmingham camp is at an all time high right now, but what brought about this rich vein of form was their hard fought draws with Liverpool (2-2) and Man City (0-0), two games not many would have thought Birmingham would have gotten anything from. They have since gone on two win every single fixture, four thus far, so it’s clear that the players are solely running on adrenaline at present and there’s no better source of energy than that.

Blues v Sporting Gijon Pre-Season Friendly St. Andrew’s Stadium
Saturday 8 August, kick off 3pm.

Blues pit themselves against top flight Spanish opposition when they host Sporting Gijon in their only pre-season friendly at St. Andrew’s on August 8.

Both sides have been extremely busy during the summer transfer window, with Blues signing no less than eight players and their Spanish counterparts five, so expect plenty of new faces to be on show.

Real Sporting de Gijón returned to La Liga for the 2008/09 season after a ten-year hiatus from the top flight of Spanish football.

It was a moment to treasure for the Asturias club and its fanatical band of supporters following a decade out of the limelight.

Nicknamed the Rojiblancos, which translates as the ‘red and whites’ due to the colour of the stripes on their kit, Sporting Gijon may never have won major silverware but they have a proud history.
